Flour - 1/3 cup Salt - 1 teaspoon Dried thyme - 1/2 teaspoon Dried marjoram - 1/2 teaspoon Celery salt - 1/2 teaspoon c Pepper - 1/4 teaspoon Frying chicken - 1 (2 1/2 to 3 pounds), cut up Crisco - 2/3 cup
GETTING READY 1. Preheat the Crisco in an electric skillet to 360°. If you are using a gas fire, heat the oil to medium-high heat of range. MAKING 2. In a paper or a plastic bag, tip in the flour, salt, thyme, marjoram, celery salt, and pepper. 3. Add the chicken pieces to the flour mixture and coat well 4. Fry each piece well for 30-40 minutes till cooked through. 5. Turn the chicken pieces during the cooking process 4-5 times SERVING 6. Serve hot
