15 oz. can garbanzo beans (chickpeas), drained and rinsed, liquid reserved
1 tsp. cumin
1/2 tsp. salt
1 T. olive oil
1 T. lemon juice
1 clove garlic, crushed
1/4 cup Tahini
Description
Drain and rinse beans, saving liquid.
Whisk together tahini and olive oil; set aside.
In blender or food processor, combine beans, cumin, salt, lemon juice and garlic. Blend on low, slowly adding 1/4 cup reserved liquid. Add tahini mixture and blend til desired consistency.
Serve with toasted pita chips, raw vegetables, whole grain crackers or tortilla crisps.
