Name Pear and Gorgonzola Green Salad

List of Ingredients 2 large pears, about 1 lb.

1 T. fresh lemon juice

4 oz. Gorgonzola or other creamy blue cheese

6 cups mixed greens, washed, dried, and torn into bite-sized bits

1/2 cup Basic Vinaigrette (made with sherry or balsamic vinegar)
Description Peel and core pears; cut into bite-sized pieces and toss with lemon juice (not necessary if serving immediately).  Cover and refrigerate until needed, up to 2 hours.



Crumble Gorgonzola into small bits; cover and refrigerate until needed.



When you are ready to serve, toss the pears, cheese, greens together with as much of the dressing as you like; serve immediately.
