List of Ingredients 1 1/2 lbs turkey or beef kielbasa (regular or reduced fat), cubed small

1 T. olive oil

2 cups chopped onions (2 large)

1 red bell pepper, coarsely chopped

1 green pepper, coarsely chopped

2 - 3 jalapeno peppers, seeds removed, finely chopped

4 large garlic cloves, peeled and minced

4 15 oz. cans black beans, drained and rinsed

1 14 oz. can low sodium chicken broth

1 14 oz. can diced tomatoes, undrained

3 T. medium hot chili powder

2 T. brown sugar

2 T. red wine vinegar

3 bay leaves

1 T. oregano

2 tsp. ground cumin
Description Heat olive oil in a large, heavy pot over medium heat.  Add the cubed kielbasa, onions, peppers and garlic and cook, stirring regularly until the vegetables start to soften, about 10 minutes.  Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.  Reduce heat to low, cover pot and simmer 30 minutes.  



Season to taste with salt and pepper and serve with your favorite garnishes such as shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, chopped green onions, cubed avocado and/or tortilla chips.
