Name Advent Tea Raspberry Cake

List of Ingredients 1 chocolate cake mix
3 T raspberry liqueur (like Chambord)
1/2 cup seedless raspberry jam
1 recipe Raspberry-Chocolate frosting
Fresh raspberries (optional)
Description Prepare chocolate cake according to package directions. When you are to add water, substitute 3T of raspberry liqueur for 3T of the water (for example, if you are to use 1/4 cup of water, place 3T of liqueur in measuring cup and then add water to make 1/4 cup).

Bake the cake as per the package directions for 2 round cakes. Remove from oven; cool in pans on wire rakcs for 10 minutes. Remove from pans and cool completely on racks.

When completely cool, cut cake layers in half so there are 4 layers of cake. Place one cake layer, cut side up, on serving plate. Spread with half of the raspberry jam. Add second layer, cut side down and spready with 2/3 cup of raspberry-chocolate frosting. Place another layer, cut side up, on top of frosting and spread with remaining jam. Top with final layer, cut side down, and frost entire cake. Garnish with fresh raspberries.
