1/2 c. butter, softened

Description
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Beat butter on medium speed for 30 seconds. Add brown sugar; beat until fluffy. Add one egg; beat well. Slowly beat in 1 1/2 c. flour until combined. Divide dough in half; cover and refrigerate one portion.
Spread other portion onto the bottom of an ungreased 10\\" springform pan with sides removed. Place on baking sheet and bake 10 minutes; cool completely.
When bottom crust has cooled, attach sides of pan and press chilled dough onto sides to a height of about 1 3/4 inches. Set aside.
Increase oven to 450 degrees.
Beat cream cheese and 1 1/4 c. sugar til fluffy. Beat in 1/4 c. flour at low speed til smooth. Add remaining 3 eggs and 3 tsp. vanilla all at once; beating til combined. Stir in 1/2 c. sour cream. Pour batter into crust-lined pan. Place on shallow pan in oven and bake 10 minutes.
Reduce heat to 325 degrees and bake 30 minutes or til center is nearly set when shaken.
Stir together remaining sour cream, 2 T. sugar and 1 tsp. vanilla. Spread over top and bake 15 more minutes. Cool on rack 15 minutes. Loosen crust; cool 30 minutes and remove sides. Chill before serving.
