Name Blue Cheese Sliders

3 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

1 lb ground sirloin

1 1/2 tsp thyme

Black pepper

1/2 cup blue cheese, crumbled

Red onion

Tomato

8-10 soft mini burger buns (we used fresh bakery dinner rolls, worked fine)

Arugula leaves

Description In a large bowl, combine ground sirloin, bacon, thyme, 1 1/2 tsp pepper, a little water (2-3 tsp) and most of the blue cheese. Knead together until combined and cheese evenly distributed. Form into 8-10 small patties. Season both sides of patties with salt and pepper. Grill. When you remove them from the grill, sprinkle with remaining blue cheese. Put on buns with slice of tomato and some red onion (I grilled the red onion & it got nice and sweet). Add arugula leaves and dijon mustard. Eat.



*The original recipe said to form the burgers this way: make 16-20 evenly sized balls. make small depression in half the patties; fill with blue cheese. Top with remaining patties, pinching them together around the cheese. Make sure stuffing is completely enclosed. Sounded hard, so I formed the burgers like feta burgers.
