1 T. caraway seeds

2 yellow onions, peeled and cut in half

2 Granny Smith apples, cored and wedges

1/4 cup brown sugar

4 lbs. loinback pork ribs
Description Layer all ingredients in a large Dutch oven in this order:  sauerkraut mixed with caraway seeds, onions, apples, brown sugar (sprinkle evenly over previous layers), and ribs.  Bring to a boil.  Lower heat and simmer gently for 2 to 3 hours or until ribs are very tender.
