Name Chicken Noodle Soup

List of Ingredients Chicken stock
Chicken meat, previously cooked and cut in bite-size pieces
4 stalks celery, chopped
6 carrots, chopped
fresh parsley (about 1/2 bunch)
1 onion, chopped
2 tsp. basil
1 tsp. dill
1/2 tsp. tarragon
2 tsp. salt (optional, may substitute 2 T. lemon juice)
1/2 tsp. pepper
8 oz. egg noodles
Description Place chopped vegetables and seasoning in a clean stock pot along with 1/2 c. chicken stock and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring often. Add all remaining chicken stock and bring to a simmer for another 20 minutes. Still simmering, add the dry noodles and simmer another 15 minutes.

Notes For Chicken Barley Soup, replace egg noodles with 1 c. barley.

For Chicken Rice Soup, replace egg noodles with 2 c. uncooked rice.
